I heard a commercial on television asking "how will you be remembered". I started thinking about that and things I remember about certain people in my life.

Now that you pantry have everything together and your floor cleaning solution mixed, you are ready to start the first of the cleaning to get the floors sparkling and get some exercise. Start by walking around the kitchen and misting the floor with the 50% water and 50% vinegar solution in the bottle. You can let this sit for a few minutes while you get the mop wet and wrung out. Then start wherever you choose to and began mopping. You do not have to scrub the floors to death because this is really the first time that they will get scrubbed.

Slice tuna fillets to form finger-shaped pieces. Fry on your usual way. Paint the pointed end or "nail portion" by using some red food coloring and brush on with a small kitchen brush. If you have a red decorator gel, squeeze gel onto the tip of the tuna slices to form nails.

The freshly painted rooms in light, bright colors, definitely adds the appearance of more space than there really is. The small living room pieces have been recovered in like fabrics and look rather nice. There is one more hurdle to cross and that is locating a table that will work in the tiny kitchen. There is little room to move in as it is and the measurements you have taken allow for little more than a bistro table for two. What will you do when company is invited over?

Improving the Kitchen: For many families, the kitchen has become to main gathering spot of the home. A tiny, cramped kitchen can hamper the enjoyable social aspect of preparing meals. One solution is the knock down a wall and open your kitchen to the living room, dining room or family room. This will greatly increase the feeling of space in your kitchen and give your family more interaction at meal times. If knocking down a wall seems like too much, you can achieve a similar effect just by adding an opening in one wall or widening a door. Remember to consult a professional before you go knocking down or putting holes in your walls.

I used to be the "eating" part of the dinner equation, and my husband was the "cooking" part. I thought that worked out pretty well in my favor. In my college days I was more comfortable with the homemaker role, making homemade meals for my housemates at least twice a week. I took pride in those meals and was happy to give my friends nutritious food to help them in their work and studies.

The idea is to look into small things you can change that don't cost a lot of money. It is sometimes these small things that add up to be a big change and help to make your kitchen look like a whole different room.
